We made a fancy PDF of this post for printing and offline viewing. Her name was Alana and within an hour, she was everything to me. The news quickly got back to Alana herself, who stayed as far away from me as possible for days after. This horrifying experience taught me a critical life lesson—it can be mortally dangerous to be yourself, and you should exercise extreme social caution at all times. We share a collective insanity that pervades human cultures throughout the world: An irrational and unproductive obsession with what other people think of us. Back then, being part of a tribe was critical to survival.
Turbulent INTJ (intj-t) vs Assertive INTJ (intj-a)
But there is one guy who I am interested in who seems to not fit that mold. He takes hours to answer a text message when we all KNOW that our phones are glued to our face. I told him it bothers me but he keeps doing it!
The Authenticity process can be slow in its decision-making abilities, however.
Getty Images More You might be an awesome, exciting, self-actualizing, and self-aware human being. Everyone tends to lean into their strengths, subconsciously rejecting simple realities that could help them to become more well-rounded people. So with that in mind, here are the classic blind spots associated with different Myers-Briggs types.
Find your type, find your blind spot. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator MBTI is a personality test that helps us to better understand ourselves and the people who surround us in our day-to-day lives. It tells us what we do with incoming information — how we process it and use it to make decisions. ENTP The blind spot: The beauty of the well-trodden path. You like to do your own thing, to innovate, and you have a tendency to cut new paths rather than follow the norm.
ISTP The blind spot: In fact, you might fear that relying on others, building relationships, or maintaining a tight circle of friends will hinder your individual growth and worldly exploration.
The Hard Truth About the INFJ Door Slam
I am an engineer by profession, or I used to be. I thought that the profile was alright but not a bulls eye. In my profession, attention to and appreciation of details is mandatory but I find that a manic attachment to a process or minutia for which I saw in many of my contemporaries is mundane. For me, I want people who interact to show me their qualities so that I can figure out how they are designed and can best be utilized.
Owning a title is a bore; I want to get something accomplished. Now, do I want to be appreciated for my accomplishments?
That’s logical as ears hear whether you’re a pig or a person, and eyes see, brains think, etc.
You can find more by visiting her website here Hi. If you are just getting into Enneagram or typology in general and have trouble making sense of it, I hope my story will help. All that changed a few years ago. I decided to research it more thoroughly and put to rest once and for all whether it had anything to it or if it was as I thought at the time just a bunch of rubbish.
I realized there might be more to it after all. Afterwards, I was able to type some of the people around me and eventually settle on INFJ as my best fit type after all. Since I was just getting into the cognitive functions and making sense of them, I decided to put off the Enneagram for awhile.

Is it worth it? For many introverts, the foods we eat on a regular basis are like slow-acting poisons that have both short-term and long-term effects. In the here and now, what we eat can cause energy spikes and dips that leave us feeling anxious, exhausted, and even depressed. And in the long term? According to a vast array of studies , repeated immune reactions to food can have serious consequences over time.
I will tackle this topic in greater depth in the next version of this document.
The Rules Revisited I’ve dated countless women and it has always amazed me how little they know about men. If nothing else, this blog is an outlet for voicing my astonishment at the typical female’s ignorance of the male mindset. At most, it is a reliable source of advice for women who want to improve their chances with the opposite sex. If a girl doesn’t approach or initiate contact with a shy man, nothing will happen.
This is true, but handling this situation isn’t as simple as you might think The first thing to do when you find yourself attracted to a shy man is to question your feelings for him. Is that feeling authentic? Do you like his shyness only because you feel like you can’t get a confident man?
Why It’s So Hard To Break Up With Someone (Even When You Need To)
Did Darwin Kill God? Richard Dawkins teaching kids. That should make this the riligulous on these forums cringe.
There’s an article on national geographic that I’ll link in another post in case I don’t avoid moderation:
MBTI is a personality tool, yes. Fortune companies use MBTI to find the perfect match for high-level career positions. People use it to make sense of their lives, to find spouses, and to understand their children. Writers use it too. But not every writer uses it wisely. Of course, these examples are just from fiction.
So why is the divide so vast between these real life INTJ heroes and the villains they become in fiction? If you want to write a great story, you need to know the pitfalls when it comes to INTJ character design. If writing an INTJ were easy, every writer would do it. Here are a few reasons why INTJ characters are a challenge for writers.

Learn that pain is not your enemy.
They draw people to themselves like bees to honey. It is rare to find an ENFP who is not surrounded by people hanging on their every word. They are the life of the party. They have a natural charisma that puts people at ease and makes even the most lonely, or damaged, among us feel like we are understood and valued as human beings. Perhaps that is their greatest super power. As someone who constantly doubts myself, I find the enthusiastic optimism of the average ENFP contagious.
Five minutes in their company and I feel I can conquer the world. They see everyone in terms of potential — not shortcomings. In a recent survey of ENFPs, we asked them 4 questions:
